Robert J. Lee was the Government Mine Inspector, for the Dominion Government, for all the Coal Mines in this area.
When you view most of the mine plans you will see this man's signature with R.P.E. after his name.
He was a Registered Professional Engineer

Robert Lee immigrated to Canada, in 1906, from Ayrshire.

He was Manager of the Alexander Mine near Roche Percee. I haven't been able to find info on this mine.

His wife, and 5 children followed in 1907 (1908 in another article)

Homesteaded in Roche Percee area, on the extreme edge of RM #5, 2 miles N of Roche Percee.

Profession was a Mining Engineer.

Robert J. Lee Family moved to Alberta ca 1910-11
Robert J. Lee was a Mining Engineer with the Alberta Government Dept. of Mines.
He was also manager of various coal mines there as well.

1919 family moved again.
1921 the family moved to Estevan, where Robert J. Lee was employed as the Mines Inspector for the Dominion Government
He retired in 1931
Worked as a Mining Consultant in the area after he retired.

He helped in organizing the SK Branch of The Canadian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy, which held their annual convention in 1923 in Estevan
