Which makes sense, since Auburnton Creek runs right thru this Township, north to south Listed in Cummins Rural Directory 1949 the Auburnton Co-operative Association were looking for a mechanic for their country garage Church Church shown here on 1927 map above. in 1950 I believe this was a United Church School School shown near this area on 1927 map above Arthur School #593- NE Section 21, Township 5, Range 1, W2 Clubs Had a Canadian Legion Branch 229 located here In 1949 they were trying to get a Masonic Lodge located here. 1931 a Loyal Orange Lodge no 895 was located here Post Office History T. Decker hauled mail from Oxbow to Auburnton and back in 1914. a distance of 15 miles.
