Jake operated a livery stable and then a hotel in Estevan.
In 1914 he bought the Clarendon Hotel and Cafe
Jake at one time was Welterweight Champion of New Jersey.
He taught all his boys, Barney, Mickey, and Saul how to defend themselves.
Jake brought the first pro baseball team to Estevan in the 1920's. It was part of the Border League.
Krivel Cres. in Regina named after this family.
Mother- Rose Krivel died Nov 1938
His father Jacob Bear Krivel died May 9, 1909, after which the family left Dominion City MB
