IN MEMORIAM
WWI - WWII

The Red Ensign
They Fought Under This Flag

The Red Poppy

For God and Country, These Gave Their Lives, Lest We Forget
They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning
We will remember them.

I dedicate this page to the memory of Captain Frederick (Fred) Charles Slater
(July 9, 1919- Feb 12, 1981)
buried in Estevan City Cemetery
Father of a friend of mine, from Hillside
Mr. Slater was also the designer of the Estevan Flag, as well as Sergeant at Arms, for the Estevan Royal Canadian Legion Branch No. 60

Estevan Cenotaph Dec 1929
Note there was an old Cannon on the site back then, which supposedly was stolen, and found years later. Will need to research that story more.
