Hyde Cemetery

Hyde, Saskatchewan, Canada

Hyde is in the RM of McLeod
Closest Cemetery could be across the river to the south, in RM No. 154 - EL CAPO

El Capo originated from a Cree word Ekapo, which means “Weed”, and Dept of Municipal Affairs, misunderstood the translation and thus El capo originated from that. Guess they figured it was a bunch of Mexicans there, rather than the Cree?

Cemetery # 895
Hyde- St. John's (Josephsberg)
Evangelical Reformed
Location NE Sec 9- Twp 19A- Rge 7- W2

There is also Cemeteries on the north side of the river that should be checked for ancestor graves

SGI shows a Hyde -Eastman cemetery but this is in range 17, long ways west of Hyde. Not sure why they used the name Hyde?

Check the map above out for other Cemeteries nearby
#1129, #1131 and #1153
#1131 is a private Piller cemetery, so not a likely choice
so #1129 the Killaly-Mariahilf would be a good choice
or #1153, the Old Neudorf Trinity Cemetery.

see the Hyde Church page for Church info
all that remains is a Cairn to mark the church location
