Reitz- ca 1918- 1926 b- July 28, 1893-in Arcadia, Lapeer, Michigan, USA, d- May 23, 1969, Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA son of Jacob S. Reitz, and Wilhelmina Rubel. married Adele Maria Elenor Huth, July 12, 1921 in Milwaukee, WI, USA. They had 4 children, all born in Estevan, and now all deceased. He is shown in 1921 census, age 27, living with Rev. Krueger family in Estevan, (see below) He immigrated Aug 30, 1918 at North Portal, from Arcadia, Michigan, USA to Estevan on the train. 1918-1921 he was serving the Oxbow St Peter's Lutheran Church Congregation in their homes, as well as serving in Estevan. I have typed letters he sent to my Gesell family, dated 1957, from Guttenberg Iowa, USA. Pastor of Trinity Lutheran in Guttenberg, 1952-1959. In Nov 1926, he left to become a full time Mission Secretary of the newly formed, Manitoba and Saskatchewan District. Rev. Reitz and Confirmation class, 1922/23, Outside Church #3, with First City Watertower, in background, Tillie and Rose were daughters of Gus and Mae Gesell Rev. Leopold (Leo) P. Krueger- ca 1918- Nov 4,1923 b- 1856, (shown age 65 in 1921), in Germany, d- Nov 4, 1923 in Estevan, Buried in Estevan City Cemetery. He was from Wordsworth, May 1917, He Retired and moved into Estevan in 1918. He was living in Estevan at 617 First St. in 1921. Karl Fredrick Eisele- 1926-1928 b- June 1, 1899, Hamilton, Ohio, USA , d- June 24, 1950 Indianapolis, Marion, IN, USA, age 51 Originally a Machinist in Indianapolis son of Edward J. Eisele and Minnie K. Eisle, nee Humbach Came to Emerson Manitoba, Sept 14, 1926, from Hamilton, Ohio, USA They were heading to Lutheran Missionary board in Moose Jaw at that time. Immigrated with his wife- Leona Dorothy Eisele, nee Moeller, b- 1900 in Indianapolis, Indiana, USA Daughter of Charles Moeller. They had a son Karl Fredrick Eisele Jr., b- 1929 in Milan, Ripley, IN, USA. *Rev. H. C. Wolters 1928-1929 He went to Cole Camp Missouri after Estevan, and stayed for 7 years there. Feb 1937 he had arrived at Falls City Nebraska. He was located in Luzerne, Iowa, in Sept 1945, preaching in German, until Nov 20, 1949. Nov 20, 1949 to at least 1953, he was Pastor of St. Ansgar, Iowa, Evangelical Lutheran Church. Buried in Holy Family Cemetery, Davenport, Scott County, Iowa, USA. Rev. Lutz 1929 and 1934-35 (Vacancy Pastor) *Rev. R. Daniel Ludwig 1930-1934 (Pastor when Church #3 was dedicated) In 1933 Services were all held in English, prior to this they were all held in German. *Rev. A. E. Koslowsky 1935-1939 Rev Koslowsky Officiated at my Mom and Dad's wedding in 1936, in the old Church at #1005 2nd St. *Rev. L. S. Winter- 1939- 1945 He was in the play “The Man From Nowhere” *Rev. K. J. Durdel - 1945-1947 *Rev. John C. Werschler- 1948-1954 b- July 4, 1906 Shellmouth, SK. d- June 23, 1963, St. Benedict Hospital, Jerome, Jerome, Idaho, age 56 Buried June 27, 1963 in Yorkton Cemetery, Yorkton SK. This was the Pastor that Baptized me, in the old Church on 2nd St 1941 in Wordsworth SK, 1944 in Beresina SK, 1946 in Churchbridge SK. He was Pastor of St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Craig, Missouri in 1959 Father- Frederick Werschler, b- Austria, Mother- Marie Wirth, b- Austria. (renovations took place in Church #3 at this time) *Rev. L. A. Koehler- 1955-1959 Pastor Koehler and his wife 1991 In Dec 1955 the Parish numbered 255 Souls, and 175 Communicants. Rev. J. Kemp (Vacancy Pastor) *Rev. Dr. Roy Kenneth Holm- 1960-1978 (May 4, 1936- Nov 25, 2005) Rev Roy Holm and his wife Maxine, instrumental in building the new Church Rev. Roy Holm was one of the best Ministers I have met, a real people person. He died a few years ago, and is sadly missed. (Pastor when Church #4 was dedicated) He was the Pastor when I was confirmed Pastor Holm became the District President Vicar Robert (Bob) Wagner- May 1978- Dec 1978 He now serves as Pastor, at St. Peter Lutheran Church in Fair Haven, Michigan, USA.
