Twitter Facebook Pinterest × Kemano- Klassen Photos ca 1953 Kemano, British Columbia, Canada Photos submitted by Dave Klassen, Mar 4, 2018 Photos from his father Harvey Klassen's collection Harvey worked at Kemano in 1953 age 19 More info from Dave: I've come across a small amount of additional information regarding my father's employment up at Kemano: • his father was the first to be working up in that area; Henry Klassen (my grandfather) was working at the Kenny Dam site, from the Fall of 1951 to April 1953 • Harvey Klassen (my father, in the photos) worked as a Warehouseman for the Fred Mannix Construction Company at the Kenny Dam site from July 1952 to April 1953 • Harvey then worked as a Warehouseman for the Morrison-Knudsen Construction Company at the Kemano site from April 1953 to September 1953 • thus we can more accurately date the photos to April-September 1953 Harvey Klassen Harvey Klassen View of Camp 5, from Skip Way Note Bee-Hive Wood Burner in operation in the distance, on the left.
