One Lava Lake story was our acquiring the beautiful cedar picnic table we had.
One day we needed a table, and leaving the Barn, we noticed that Vic Filby had just got a nice cedar table, all varnished up nice out behind the Barn.
(Construction Dept and Vic were proud of this table) We needed a table to eat on, so we loaded the table onto the flat deck, and drove it up to the bottom of the hill, and helicopter slinged it to the site.

It was quite a sight, swinging under the machine. Well the search was on back in Terrace, but never did the table show up!
Out foxed by Radio again! Old Victor passed away a few years ago, so it is safe to tell the story now!
It wasn't till quite a while later we found out the employees had paid for this table. Sorry about that!
