Perry Secretary- William Cole The R.M. of Coalfields #4 was Incorporated on January 1, 1913 Part of Saskatchewan Association of Rural Municipalities First Meeting was held in Bienfait, Jan 6, 1913 A. That same year he trekked to North Portal where he remained. In Feb 1919 he farmed 960 acres. Plus he leased 489 acres from the government. He was a life member of the Saskatchewan Grain Growers Assoc. SGGA, President of the North Portal SGGA. Served for 3 years as Reeve of Coalfields RM. Served 16 years as Secretary of the Britannica School District, as well as Secretary of the Rural Telephone Co. from its start. Member of the Presbyterian Church.
