Newcombe, nee Slocum b- Feb 1881 in Minnesota USA marriage record says born 1876, age 30 when she married in 1906 age 33, in 1916 d- ? daughter of James Slocum, Minneapolis Both came to Canada in 1910 1911 he is shown as a Brick man, Methodist, living with Eleazer Garner in 1916 census He became Mayor of Estevan 1919-1920 Newcombe Dr in Estevan named after him Member of the Masons, Estevan Society A.F. & A. M. Elected Worshipful Master of the Masons, for 1919 member Estevan Board of Trade. They Lived on 3rd St, in Estevan Shown in Who's Who book as Managing Director and Secretary Treasurer, Estevan Coal & Brick Co., Ltd., Bank of Hamilton Bldg., Estevan; Bought the Eureka Coal & Brick Co.
