Lillian and her husband travelled to Estevan in 2009 from Scotland, for an emotional visit to this grave, the first of Jim's family.
From Lillian- “He was killed when the plane he was training in hit a hanger on take off. The instructor was baldly injured but recovered.”
Funeral took place Saturday, August 1, 1942, in Estevan, H. H. Ashley was the Church of England Chaplain, He was assisted by the Local United Church Minister.

Third child, and only son of the above couple.
Carolyn's mother Dorothy Boiston, was John's elder sister.
John went to Sir Joseph Williamson's Mathematical School in Rochester, Kent, UK, and is shown on their memorial website
