Hirsch Public School District #283

Located at SE Section 16, Township 3, Range 5

Sept 13, 1893 they were allowed to borrow $750 to buy a site, build a school house and furnish it.

School District was altered July 14, 1905.
Included after that date- Section 26-35 in Township 2, Range 5, W2
Section 2-18 in Township 3, Range 5, W2
They removed Section 30 and 31, Township 2, Range 5, W2 from the District

1942- Mrs V. E. Billington was Sec-Treasurer of this SD
Grades 1-10, salary $800/yr, 4 room teacherage, fuel was free for janitor work in the teacherage.

Date Unknown- School moved into Hirsch just north of Highway 18
