2 years later, ca 1887, he was made Private Secretary of the General Manager of the Chicago, Indianapolis & Louisville Railroad.
Spent last 16 years of his career with the Grand Trunk Railroad.
May 1896- Appointed General Purchasing Agent of the Grand Trunk Railroad.
General Purchasing Agent for Grand Trunk Pacific Railway when Prince Rupert was made the terminus of that line.
He was sick for 2 years prior to his death, from an unknown illness.
He lived in Montreal and St. Louis.
His headquarters were in Canada.
