McLure Ferry

McLure, BC, Canada

The McLure ferry crosses the North Thompson River, 43 km's north of Kamloops BC — off Highway 5 (East side of the river).
It is the only crossing of the North Thompson River between Kamloops and Barriere.
This ferry has been in operation since 1919

The Small Overhead Aerial Tramway was used for passengers only, if the reaction ferry was down for service, or repair,
and also in the winter, if ice in the river was a problem, or when water was high, and too dangerous to run the reaction ferry
