Here I see the CNR station shown on south side of King St. just east of Highway 47, just north of present day Water Tower location.
Pleasantdale didn't exist and was owned by the CPR.
As you can see International Securities Company, of Winnipeg MB, a Land Corporation, owned land West of Pleasantdale, and south of the City.
Scotsburn Subdivision is shown just East of Hillside, which is clearly shown subdivided on this map.
International Securities Company Ltd, were the authorized sales agent for the Grand Trunk Pacific Railway.
1912, they were selling lots in Brandon, office based in Montreal at that time.
1914 the head office was in Somerset building, in Winnipeg, with branches even as far as in England. They owned many lots in Weyburn as well.

Charles Murphy
b- Nov 20, 1865 Prescott ON
d- July 16, 1941 in Vancouver BC, age 75
Born and educated in Prescott, started out as a Printer.
Became CPR Operator in Prescott, then CPR Dispatcher at Ottawa, Chief Dispatcher at Chapleau ON., and General Superintendent at North Bay ON, and in the Lake Superior Division.
Came to the West in 1913, as General Superintendent of the Manitoba Division of the CPR, and in 1920 General Manager for Western Lines.
Served with the CPR from 1883 until he retired 12 years before he died.
Charles had one sister, Mrs. Art Halliday in Prescott, 2 brothers, Joseph Murphy, of Oxford Mills, and James Murphy in South Africa when Charles died.

1918 he was appointed General Superintendent at Moose Jaw.
First joined CPR in 1903.
Named President of the CPR in 1948, and Chairman in 1955
Town of Mather Manitoba was named after his grandfather.
