Pictures were taken from slides, so focus is poor.

M&S #3522 Ready to be Parked and put on display at the end of Main St. in Bienfait in 1968
I have now located locomotive M&S locomotive #6947 originally CPR locomotive #1737, built in 1908,
renumbered to #3537 in 1913, and then in Sept 1928 to #6947.
It was retired in 1968 same as #3522 above.
It was donated to the Alberta Pioneer Railway Association in 1970
They proceeded to sell it in 1997 to a company in Sandon BC who are rebuilding it for a commercial display.
I wonder if this was the intention of the M&S donaters at that time?
Imagine they would have sold it rather than donated it, if they would have known. Can't relive history!
The good news is it will be a working model in Sandon B.C.
