A Methodist Minister visited the area starting in July 1900 per Edgar Haight Letter

By Nov 26, 1900 there was 17 buildings, some small, others large and substantial
A School was planned for the beginning of 1901

Mar 15, 1905 established as Village of Antler. Mar 27, 1905 election for the First Overseer was to be held. Edgar Haight of Antler was appointed Returning Officer.

Edgar left his home at Sparta Apr 2, 1900 and took a week to get to his homestead 20 miles west of Antler area.
But he did not like the look of the land and returned to Antler a new village at the time.
When he arrived there was only one family there.
The First Post Office was in his house established Sept 1, 1900
by 1908 he could issue Marriage Licenses in the area
family were members of the Quakers, descended directly from Pennsylvania
They established a Union First Day School June 1900
