Stores Department was located in the Butler building
on Victoria Dr. on the East end of Smithers

Vic Filby was the Stores man in Smithers, after he left Terrace Stores.
Vic worked in Terrace, Smithers, and Prince George Store's Departments
Vic was personally responsible for saving lives during the Great Barn Fire in Terrace in 1974. He warned others in a trailer inside the old Army Hangar, to leave the building.
What makes this more amazing, is he suffered thru a bad fire when he was younger, and bore the scars from it, till he died.
He was a big man, with a big heart.
He was also a ping pong player extraordinaire, which I can personally vouch for!
